The problem is the downloads have a 'tar'

Hello
If you use DOS / W95/W98 /NT, perhaps you can use the following programs:
Untgz (http://www.simtel.net/pub/pd/24014.html)
-
WinRAR

Forget the images off aros.org, and use the iso's from Matt Parson'ssite. Much more user friendly.

Have fun!!

Matt parson's iso is quite outdated compared to
nightly builds, perhaps wont work for his/her
hardware config.
I am very satisfied with nightly builds, a good proof
of technology, can't wait to hear AHI drivers performing. :-D

Nightly builds are very nice.
Even their own "tested" iso has some anoying bugs (eg the loader/startup-sequence) that is just smooth in the latest build.
BTW: anyone know how to get a usb mouse working on AROS or is there just no usb support? doesn't work if one sets "bios" usb support either.

Sorry about my build becoming stale, I'm currently off line at the moment (all Inet has to be done at work) so I can't update the images.
Yes, my builds are targeted at the average user who doesn't want to mess around with dearchivers and/or have to find additional programs to use it.
I also test my builds as much as possible before I upload so that I can announce any issues that may exist.
Finders crossed I should be back on line on the 23rd of May with an Update shortly afterwards. (two months down time is too long!!!) :-)
