How do I edit the startup sequence of my Amiga 1200? James Hayes
-
it is very easy, just open editpad and open this file:
sys:S/startup-sequence ...
oh, you will get more help if you say what version OS you have... what I say applies to 3.9 ...
-
you can run a shell from workbench and type:
ed s:startup-sequence
-
What ever you do make a backup copy of the startup sequence just in case your edited version dont work properly .If i remember right havining not used an amiga now for over a year and half , the startup sequence is a text file so a text editor should be all you need ?.
-
And remember that standard "ed" which comes with AmigaOS has certain limit for line lenght. Sometimes it has cutted my very long blizkick line from startup-sequence :)
