Title: A3000 scsi question
Post by: mrbill317 on July 03, 2006, 09:43:24 AM
What type of scsi port is on the amiga 3000? Is it 25pin male or female.

I won a Lacie external drive for 10 bucks but need a cable.

The drive end is easy , centronics but I dont remember whats on the amiga?

Most cables I see are male.

thx

It is a standard "MAC Style" external SCSI-1 cable that you require.

I only recommend asking for a "MAC style" cable as I have bought PC SCSI-1 cables before and they have not worked.

I have no scientific proof that they are different in any way.

Aargh, mental lapse. Sorry.

I was thinking whether you could plug in a printer or not and obviously I didn't think it through fully enough. :-)

I did plug in my printer once (un- and replugging from Parnet) and burned a couple of traces from the board...
(Yes, they burned from the board, since they were completely gone - now I can laugh about that.   )
