I have a Virge gfxboard with Mediator, i had problems with the configuration of P96, like graphics corruption, and sprite corruption, but i decreased the memory for Virge card on a config file of P96, and i got nice results, i was using software sprites, but when i fixed the problems i changed configuration of Virge monitor file to use hardware sprites, now it show the pointer, but some of the pointer pixels have strange problems, it show the color negative of the background, it seem that this effect only happend with some colors of the pointer image, but its an ugly effect when you move the pointer through icons.
Someone had the same problem? how can i solve it?

As far as I now there is no solution to the negative pixels which shows up on (the black colour, I think it is) the pointer when running on a Mediator/RTG solution. However, if someone knows how to solve it, I would be interested in the solution aswell.

Don't use that color for your pointer image? :-)
CyberGraphX/CV64-3D does the same thing. Guess it has to do with the differences in hardware sprites on the Virge.
Actually, the only good I had from it was back years ago, I drew a small pixel-art Ilwrath Avenger as my pointer, and then made the wait-pointer out of the negative color as an outline of the Ilwrath Avenger, giving a "cloaked" effect while waiting. ;-)

Same thing also happens on a PicassoII with CGX. It's probably a problem with the RTG systems and the native hardware sprite.

I just modified the original white/red/black pointer to red/black one.. looks fine and original enough :)

Picasso96 has a software sprite option, which allows you to have a multicolor mouse pointer.
It's a limitation of the vga/svga specifications.. You're allowed two colours + inverse for the hardware mouse pointer.

I modified the pointer to use two colors and now it works, thanks to all.
