Hi,
I've been reading all the Mediator / Voodoo threads on the forum, but wanted to know if there were any updates..
The thing is:
I'm getting a Mediator ZIV and a Voodoo card. Should i go with the "Voodoo 5 5500" or the "Voodoo 3 3000 (NOT 3500)". I've read that the drivers for the Voodoo 5 are really Voodoo 3 drivers.. This was in 2004, is this still the case?
Are there really negative sides to running a Voodoo 5?
Will the Voodoo5 fit in a Revanche case with a ZIV and MediatorZIV (as i've heard it pretty big)?
All at last: Will i be able to use my Voodoo 5/3 for most RTG games (Napalm, Quake 1/2, Wipeout etc.)? And does apps. like ModePro support it?

Voodoo 3 is apparrently much better on the Amiga. The Voodoo 5 drivers don't support the extra features of the Voodoo 5 and for some reason this causes worse performance than the Voodoo 3 (so I have heard anyway).

Go for a Voodoo 3000, I had big troubles with some games (weird colours) when I was using my Voodoo 5500 before switching to a Voodoo 3000.
Games that showed up in weird colours were Wipeout 2097, Nightlong and Earth 2140

Ah too bad that they can't get the Voodoo 5 5500 to work. Back in the day, it was a pretty sweet card. I remember when I got a chance to see it in demo, my eyes screamed in exctasy.
