Title: Is IDE-Fix+express adapter worthless on BPPC boards? (speedwise)
Post by: AmigaMance on June 29, 2006, 07:46:04 PM
  Hello.
I read on another thread that the IDE-Fix board even with the express adapter does not increase the access speed of IDE devices on BPPC boards. Can anyone confirm or reject this?
Please, answer only if you have this particular hardware combination or you know someone who does.

I had this combination and to tell you the truth it works exelent with a bppc with 060 perhapps a bit slower on a 040 one, but remember the PPC does not do ide handling so do not ekspect to see anny difference betwen a blizz1260 and a bppc 060\240 with the ide adapter.

*edit* since the amiga os 3.0 3.1 nor 3.5 and 3.9 have native suport for ppc. The ide handling is pure 68k
