I was doing some work remotely and killing time and went to the Amiga.com website to see if there was any new news there and found this quote on the following link:
http://www.amiga.com/amigaos/
Please note, the development of future versions of the Amiga Operating System is not available for third party development or distribution.
Does this mean (Assuming we went through some sort of dimensional portal where companies were able to bring products to market to begin with... bear with me here.) that if Hyperion was smashingly successful with OS4 that they wouldn't be able to broker a deal to create an OS5?
-
I dunno, OS5 won't be here for another 20 years anyway the pace that OS4 is coming along.
-
Basically you are correct. Hyperion can only produce OS4.x.
Not that Amiga ever have the intention of producing OS5 or whatever. Seems it's much easier to write a webpage full of buzzwords than implement what you are talking about.
