What kind of preamp/reciever do you own?

Because I'm thinking of buying one, however of those I've seen/read about, I'm satisfied with none.

Yamaha RX990 I believe.  Kinda primative compared to the current model that replaces it.  The non-discount electronics store line have excellent amps.  Lots of brands have gadgets but crappy amps.  Do your homework before you buy any brand.

If "Dullsville" is in the UK, you want to take a trip to RicherSounds.  They have great prices and quality products, even their budget stuff is carefully selected to be quality budget stuff.  They normally have the What HiFi? rating next to the product.  I have bought loads from them, and my receiver is a Sherwood 6090RDS.  Several years of use, and no problems, nice beefy sound too!

@lurkist

If 'RicherSounds' is in the UK, I most definitely won't be going there!
