Hi to all! I just installed a 2386sx bridgeboard in my A2000 and, after installing the board I installed the Amiga Janus software (which I downloaded from Installer's Heaven). When I try to run any of the Janus programs (PC Color, PC Mono, PC Prefs) all I get is "could not open janus.library". The funny thing is that the above file exists in the expansion drawer, and I also copied it to the libs drawer, but still nothing... Any suggestions? I don't know if it matters, my A2000 has also a Retina and a SCSI HC+8 controller installed.

How much memory is installed on the HC8+? Chances are you are out of autoconfig space.
The GVP should have no more then 4MB...
-
I installed 8MB on the HC8 (and I think that the bridgeboard has also 8MB). But in case I need to remove the 4MB from the HC8, can I use the memory of an other board (I will install a GVP 030 in a few days with 8MB)

You also get this message when the bridgeboard is not recognized by your A2000. Check it in the early startup menu (if you use KS2.0 or higher).

I haven't checked the early startup menu, but the board is recognised correctly by showconfig, so it appears to be working.

The Amiga 2000 has a 8MB expansion-range for memory and some IO-space which can be addressed with 64k max per card.
The bridgeboard (2088,2286,2386) all have 128k of shared memory which won't fit into the IO-space and is therefore configured in the area for memory-expansions.
This area can only be configured in blocks of 2MB, so you only have 6MB left.
A potential GFX-board (on the Amiga-side) will also take 2 or 4 MB.
If you only got the 8MB expansion and the bridgeboard you need to remove 2MB from the memory-expansion.
The memory on 030-turbo-boards is normally configured outside the 68000-address-space (except for C='s 2630 offcourse evil: ) and should therefor have no effect on Z2-expansions.

So, should I leave the HC8 with 4MB (as I do have an 1MB Retina)?

Yup!

Thanks guys! I hope that this will solve my problem...
