Post by: hameron on June 22, 2006, 05:55:40 PM
Hello

Ive got a blizzard ppc @210mhz /060 @50mhz (revision 0) with a serial number LCH0001  L is not shown on BBAH http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showhardware.cgi?HARDID=154

the problem is that the card show scsi config in bootmenu and the symbios chip isn't on the board im forced to press
S to boot the amiga

is there any flash which would not force me to press S to make  the card works , and does the Grex 2.2 flash is compatible with a bvision card

Hi CLS2086

The flash is the same for both SCSI and no SCSI versions of the blizzard.

If you have the 3.1 roms installed there is a ~30 second delay before boot whilst the system waits for response from the IDE bus
I've found there is a longer delay with the Grex flashrom than with the bvision flashrom installed.

How are you powering your system? AT/ATX psu, Amiga 'brick', Goliath, or some other way?

Regards

Rich

Hi,
yes 3.1, it had a small delay, but my bvision stopped to " freeze " so it's good for me ;).

I powered the 1st BPPC one with AT on GREX (now I'm trying ATX because i need more power for more peripherals and it can' initialise itself properly...),

My 2nd BPPC+Bvision with AT on ATEO BUS (which use floppy connector for +5/+12v).

I have an another GREX and a Permedia 2 (Creative Labs Graphics Blaster Exxtreme) PCI Graphic Card, but i'm waiting to see what will happen with OS4 because I don't know if it will be considered like a Bvision (as with OS3.x and MOS) or not usuable at all....
