You can find the information you need about the jumpers on www.amiga-hardware.com.
The busboard doesn't need anything else plugged in than the PSU, but I have had big problems installing a Z4 busboard previously. IIRC it was a rev 1D1 motherboard.

As have I. Also with a Blizzard 1260 and a 1D.1 board.

I've tried it on a 1D1 and a 1D4.. slightly different results each time...
One of them does the red screen thing and the other just stays at white (Like when I have the blizzard in with the other one)
I guess it needs a revision 2 board... which I don't have one of >_<
1x 1D1 and 2x 1D4... anyone wanna swap motherboards? heh

Works fine on my rev 1A mobo. Though I did have problems getting it to work. Cant remeber what the issues were as was few years ago, but I rember couldn't get it to work. I seem to remeber that I ended up disregarding what you were supposed to have the jumpers on for blizzard cards.
Just remove all jumpers. have them all open. Worked for me anyroad. I ve got a manual somewhere, but wont be able to dig it out at mo.
Had it working with blizzard 1230 mk IV and a blizzard ppc
Hope this helps

I have a zorro 4 card, when I plug it into my A1200 with no expansion I get a ROM error (Red screen)
Give the board and passthrough adapter a good look over for any solder bridges or other shorts,as the red screen can be caused by a something short circuiting any of the address lines (it can cause the ROM checksum not to match it's calculated value and so the startup code thinks the ROM is bad)
IIRC, there was someone else posting on here a while back with similar problems and posted a piccy showing some crap soldering that stopped it working properly
Edit : Found the piccy (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=1117)

Been looking and I can't find any shorts at all...
I guess it's possible it's broken.. I'm trying to get ahold of a rvision 2B motherboard or a 1A to try it out on... hopefully it's a board incompatibility...

Did you try my suggestion with regards to the jumpers?
Good luck on finding a 1A rev mobo, not that easy to come by
