Hi,
can anyone give any links about CDXL? Or just tell some main "every Amiga user should know" stuff about it:)
Thanks.

Err.... In a nutshell - it's a video format suited to Amiga hardware (e.g. light compression, low resource requirements for playback, low resolution, low framerates, restricted number of colours).
A few Amiga magazines used to carry film trailers in CDXL format on their cover-mounted CDs, but this practice was short-lived as far as I can remember.

It was a format Carl wrote originally for the CDTV, it playes 15 fps off of a single speed CD with Ham-6 color and 8 bit sound, so its an impressive format to say the least. The commercial developers with CATS (and maybe the non-commerical ones) got tools to build the formats, test them, etc. The format was extended when CD32 came out to support AGA (or may have been originally created with AGA in mind since CDTV and the A3000+ prototypes were pretty much neck and neck). Its very quick off of a harddrive, I know Adpro supported it, I think ImageFX did as well, if it didnt, blame me and go on with your life :). Google if you want more, or ask questions and I may answer.

Does anyone have info on programming for CDXL? For reading/displaying/writing?

I Probably do, I think its in the developers notes, in fact it may be on the 3.9 CD, some of that stuff filtered out to the CD as I remember. I am in the midst of a great selloff of a bunch of things from my house, if I see either my developer notebooks or other possible sources, I'll see if I can scare up the info.
