I have a external disk drive made by ____?something?____ image that when hooked up to my A2000 on the external disk drive port shows up as an icon labeled DF2:??
Is there a jumper that should be changed? I know I had to change the board jumper when I had two internal disk drives but do you have todo the same for external drives?
thanks alan

You should removed the jumper on J301 if you presently have no internal DF1 drive.

You are stuck with that, pretty much. Internal drive designations = DF0 & DF1, external drives = DF2 & DF3. That's the way the Amiga assigns floppy drive numbers.....
