Im really bad with computers but...
Ive got an Amiga 2000 and recently thought about using it again. Its all connected properly (i think) but the floppy disk drives at the front dont seem to be working.
Does anyone know how to sort this?
Thanks.

There's a lot in the words "doesn't work".
Be more specific. Can't read the disk? Doesn't spin? Makes horrible noises? Weird spirits eminating from the drive?

If they are not working at all, check the power and ribbon cable connectors at the back of each drive. Sometimes during shipment or handling the connectors come loose. There can also be an intermittent contact on one of the floppy ribbon connectors, something a simple unplugging and plugging in of the connector cures.

There doesnt seem to be any power getting to the disk drives.
I'll check the cables. Thanks.

Hi!
First
Make sure connections.(Power and data cable) are in the right possition.(if you have only one disk drive (DD) use a single data cable not for two disk drives)
Second
When you turn on the A2K, there must appear the kickstart screen whit the hand and a disk, if not maybe this the problem. If it's appears make sure that the DD makes a "click" continously. If ther is no noise the DD is without power or broken.
Thirth
Try to clean heads on the DD with a ear stick and alcohol (BE CAREFULL) only with a light force and move manually the main motor (in the botom of the DD a big metallic disk)
Fourth
If it don't work, replace it.
