Well i got fedup of all those on 'eab.abime.net' showing all of there 68K+ processors (usually via photos!) so i decided to post a photo of my CPU, a 68080!!..lolol

Actually, my lowly 2600+ (Barton) @2.30 GHz should easly blow all that out of the water
-
oh yeah?!?! well at least my cpu doesnt smell like poo!
seriously im not really jealous of anyones cpu, i dont know why anyone would be. ive thought about upgrading my 3000 but have decided that it really isnt worth it. unless maybe a 3ghz 68080 or coldfire came out that could be put in a board to sell for about 150-200 USD
jealous of a 50 mhz cpu yeah ok.

Well I meant as far as Amigas go. Cant really compare current PCs.
Makes you wonder though. What would Amiga be now if commodore had carried on (and shown some commitment and backbone!)
What would be under the bonnet?
-
they would probably have switched the os over to x86 faster than apple did. they had their own clone line. wed be running multi ghz amigas with os'06

And my AMD Dual core 3800+ blows your Piece of dung off the planet, doesnt stop me booting up my A4000/060....

Erm - if you're not stuck with a sequential task (running AROS, WinUAE, ...).
The X2 3800+ runs on 2 GHz only - if you can't make use of the 2nd core, motrucker's Barton will just about run away... ;-)

Ah yes, the clearly visable picture in the thread. Where did it go???
-
Its still there
-
The picture you have inserted isn't visable here. It's just a link to www.imgbox.co.uk but no direct link to a picture.

I wonder if they are aware that there WAS actually a Motorola 68070 chip?
-
Sorry guys
try this..

MC68070 is a 68000 with microcontroller usually outside put inside. It's the CDi CPU  (equivalent to the Philips P9000).
For the 68080 how far is it compatible ?
-
Hi,
I know, I remember back in the early '90s when the '040 was being released and I saw the Motorola "roadmap" that showed the '060. Soon therefter the CDi was released and it had the 68070 and I was like WTF???
Ahhh good times, good times...

@CLS2086
beeing a mockup, its perfectely compatible ;-)
