Title: Class Act
Post by: irishmike on June 08, 2006, 03:10:35 AM
Hey all:

Found a program requiring ClassAct for Amiga.  Downloaded the demo version 2 from Aminet and it is not the version the program is looking for.  Anyone have or know where to get the very latest version.  The installer is looking for v38.

Thanks,

What are you trying to run that requires ClassAct? I think very little software uses it. ClassAct eventually became ReAction which came with OS3.5 and which is used in far more programs.

Just trying to make sure it's not OS3.5 you need - sometimes the classes can get mixed up and cause trouble.

AmiFTP is the program... liked that is a graphical interface :-)

Has a this year stamp on AmiNET so it is fairly later.  I am actually in OS 3.0 currently.

Er... AmiFTP is actually quite ancient - take another look at the readme file on Aminet.

I saw the Class Act demo archive - looks like it's the only one of its kind on Aminet. Assuming it's all installed correctly, I don't know why it's failing.

You might have better luck with AmiTradeCenter (http://amitradecenter.net/). It's far more recent and uses MUI.
