Title: LHA frontend

hi all,
 is there a lha extractor that isnt already in lha format? why do they lha the lha programs?

Download "lha.run" from Aminet. It is a self-extracting version of lha, so you don't need lha to un-lha lha  :crazy:

thanks for the reply, i have put lha in the c dir but what im after is a lha frontend, any ideas?

Oh I see, sorry from your first post it sounded like you were having problems unarchiving lha itself.

There are a few front ends on Aminet. I can't reach any mirrors at the moment, but off the top of my head there is Pepperoni and AnArchiver.

Workbench 3.9 also has a built in front end for lots of archive formats.

Hi,

I never used the lha frontends on my real amigas, but suspect you might have to use the command line version once, to extract the front end.  After that point, presumably you will set up the gui, which will enable you to use lha without using the CLI.

There are also lha frontends in winuae that you could try (that's the only time I've used them).
