Title: Does anyone have Setup disks for A590 HDD?
Post by: on April 30, 2003, 06:55:35 PM
Hey guys, I just bought an A590 HDD for my amiga 500, but the install diskettes are unfortunately not working :(
Does anyone have these disks as ADF or so? I found them on the web as *.dms, but I have no clue what to do with a dms-file... I tried transferring it from my pc to an amiga diskette using AExplorer, but it seems it didn't work. As far as I've understood, the dms is a compressed format, but how can I uncompress this in workbench? Or do I need some special decompressing programme to make it work?

Thanks,
Thomas

Ok, I got the prog running on the A500, but how do I unpack the dms with it? I have a dms on the disk in my df1: but I can't get it to unpack the dms-file...

copy the dms file to ram disk
insert a blank disk in df0:

then type dms write ram:insertdmsfilenamehere.dms to df0:
