Title: Studio 3 gone?
Post by: motorollin on May 18, 2006, 08:19:49 AM
I emailed Studio 3 last night (they used to be System 3). I was trying to find out if a complete copy of Putty Squad still exists. I know someone managed to find one last year but couldn't get it released.

Anyway, I got a delivery failure report saying that the message was not successfully delivered to any recipients. Does anyone know whether this company is even still in business, or have any contact details for them?

Some details on Putty Squad can be found on the Amiga Games That Weren't website.  You can also download the demo.

If Studio 3 have gone you could run a search on the staff involved in the project.

Thanks for the link! According to that site, this is the list of people involved in the game:

John Twiddy - Programming
Nick Lee - Graphics
Phil Thornton - Graphics & original concept
Jason Page - Music
Richard Joseph - Sound Effects

I'm appealing to anyone who may have contact details for any of these people.

Thanks

System 3 is System3 again theese days, they allready released a few games onto the consoles this year.

Also there was a huge interview with them in the latest GAMESTM which covered all last ninja games including some words about the "future" of them.

I know Jason Page is Audio Manager at SCEE and has been for quite a few years.  Very nice guy.  But he has said that he never even saw the game, and I doubt any of the developers would be of much help regarding putty squad.

The artist (Nick Lee) has commented on this thread over at EAB (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=11820&page=2) too.  His website is at http://nickrlee.deviantart.com.
