Doesn't anyone RTFM anymore :-)

From the manual:

"Save rooms Again, there is one situated on each level.
If you wish to save the game at this point, move Mutt onto
the bed using the D-pad and press the red button to
automatically save the game."

Hi ikir,

- You got to have a dir called: Nonvolatile on your harddrive.
- Also the needed CD32 libs like Lowlevel.library and Nonvolatile.library
- Furthermore an assign to the Nonvolatile-dir in your ENV:SYS, make a text-file named nv_location with in it the full path to that dir (like Work:Novolatile/)

After this LDivil should work.

Good luck :-)

Spidey, does that setup work for all CD32 games that would normally use the CD32's non-volatile memory?

Hello StevenJGore,

'Spidey, does that setup work for all CD32 games that would normally use the CD32's non-volatile memory?'

Every CD32 game I tried in the past worked this way.
Eventually you'll see the dirs of the games with their savegames inside in that Nonvolatile dir.

Hi ikir,

On which platform do you play this game?
I played it on my A1200 and never encountered the mentioned problem??!!??

From memory: you had to hit the Esc-button to save the game.

Hi ikir,

I guess you have to free some memory then. Perhaps an idea to play it on a Amiga?
You don't have problems with saving anymore! :-D

Where am I? A very good question!
It was years ago I played it, and I sold it with my old Amiga to buy another one, so I can't play it again.

What I remember is dwelling in the cave, I believe that was the start of the game? It just didn`t end with all those cave hallways! :-)

Where are you?

Perhaps it's possible to get this game from Back2Roots?! I'll search for it this evening :-D

Do you want the bad or the good news first?

The good news: The game requires only one block to save
The bad news: The game is saved to nonvolatile only at the beginning of a level (not sure if you need to use the save room, but the save should become visible in the "load game" -screen)

I'm on level 2, so ask for help if you need any :-)

Also check my "CD32 nonvolatile save sizes" thread for information on space requirements for various CD32 games, and feel free to add any missing games

(old thread, but decided to reply anyway)
