My WiFi router forwards DNS requests to my ISP's DNS server. All clients on my LAN use the router's internal IP address as their DNS server.
I have just installed a Netgear PCMCIA WiFi card in my desktop A1200 and installed AmiTCP. The default gateway and DNS servers were set to the internal address of the router. I can ping remote servers from the A1200 by IP, but not by name. I can even open an FTP connection to Aminet using its IP address, but not by using its name.
Have I missed something?

@motorollin:
Is your router usuable as a dns-server by other computers on your network?
If not, try using the dns supplied by your isp.
With AmiTCP up to version 3.0b2 you specify the nameserver(s) in the file AmiTCP:db/netdb-myhost, in later versions in the file AmiTCP:db/resolv.conf.
Thosee files should be supplied with examples, ending with .example or -example.
