Hi, I have a Power Computing XL Drive (external high density) and during quick informal testing, all seemed fine. I've gotten busy with work and all and didn't have time to investigate further. I was reading that apparently a small patch or driver was required to write high density? Is this still true under OS 3.9 and if so where on earth can I locate that patch or driver?
Thanks!

i'm not sure but try this (http://www.l8r.net/install/misc/Xl_Drive.DMS)

Yes, it needs this patch. The drive will read/write DD disks no trouble at all, it will read HD disks but it will only format/write DD...

@tahoe,
Thank you for the confirmation and...
@amije
Thank you for the link. I'll give it a try when I have a chance.

And... if you're using a 68060, you'll want to use the patch on this site (http://www.geocities.com/Area51/1739/1260software.html) as the original software doesn't work properly with later CPUs.
