Title: Power Computing XL Drive (external HDD) patch/driver?
Post by: dnelsonfl on May 10, 2006, 06:33:00 PM
Hi, I have a Power Computing XL Drive (external high density) and during quick informal testing, all seemed fine. I've gotten busy with work and all and didn't have time to investigate further. I was reading that apparently a small patch or driver was required to write high density? Is this still true under OS 3.9 and if so where on earth can I locate that patch or driver?

Thanks!

And... if you're using a 68060, you'll want to use the patch on this site (http://www.geocities.com/Area51/1739/1260software.html) as the original software doesn't work properly with later CPUs.
