I use Octamed V5.0 to make music. Samples or Midi.
I do this for years now, but I still need somebody to help me with this spec. quest:
You can add digits to a sample on the track
example:
01 C-3 00000
The quest is about the digits behind the C-3.
These can be used as a kind of parameter.
I only know some, like 00201 or 00101 (pitch up or down) and like 00C32 (volume)
Sometimes I see codes on a track which I don't understand:
Can somebody make a list of all the parameters which controle a note (sample & midi notes)
Are there more ways to play with these sounds?
I tried finding direction on the octamed offical site, but that does not work! My GUIDE file does not work either(ERROR) :madashell:
Please write a reply on this message if you know more parameters (with manual) and I will be gratefull!
:-P
:-D thank you thank you thank you!:-D

I haven't got a musical hair on my head and I know very little about OctaMed, but my daughter has the v5 manual. Here's what it says about those five digits after the note.
The first digit is the Instrument Number, which I guess you know. The next numbers are in pairs and are hexadecimal. They are called 'Player Commands'. The first pair is the 'Command Type' and the last pair is the 'Command Level'.
The first digit in the Command Level pair is called 'Level 1'. The second digit is 'Level 2'. When entering commands, you can set the Level 1 to '1' by holding down the Alt key while entering the Level 2 value in the Level 2 field.
Player commands can be split into 'Normal' commands and 'Midi' commands.
Here's a list of Command Types and their Command Level 1 and 2 effects:
00 Arpeggio 1 First Pitch 2 Second Pitch
01 Pitch Up Slide speed
02 Pitch Down Slide speed
03 Portamento Pitch slide speed
04 Vibrato 1 speed 2 depth
05 Slide Pitch and Fade fade speed
06 Vibrato and Fade fade speed

1A and 1B Slide volume Up/Down Once speed
1D Jump to next playing sequence entry start line number

For MIDI use, some of the above commands have different effects:

04 Modiulation Wheel level ($00 - $7F)
