Last month Ubisoft Germany announced the new edition of The Settlers II Veni, Vidi, Vici to be released this Autumn in Germany.
On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of The Settlers II, this new Settlers game will allow you to revisit the 1996 classic, enhancing the gamers experience with 3D up-to-date graphics and new gameplay additions.
An all-new game engine has also been developed exclusively by Ubisofts Blue Byte Studio (Germany). This engine will generate an interactive 3D environment and charming comic strip look including beautiful fauna and flora.

I'll second that, I downloaded the demo of this and to be honest I prefer the amiga version. :-D I was kind of expecting the YIP! but the new version doesnt have it :pissed:

My gf purchased the new version of Settlers for the PC a while back, on my credit card grrrr, and I played it once and found it nothing like Settlers, no sense of humour, no real 'character'. Needless to say she only played it once also. Now its for sale in Morrisons for 5.99. Thats 40.00 well spent. :madashell:
