Hi,
Someone told me on irc that some new beta E-UAE runs a500 games at full speed on a 800mhz amigaone.
I find this quite hard to believe, so I wanted to get some opinions. I just can't imagine it can do games like stardust or jim power at full framerate with sound, but of course I could be wrong.

I wouldn't be surprised if it can emulate an A500 at full framerate. An A1200 would need a little something extra though.
There may soon be accelerator cards for the AmigaOne XP/MicroA1-c soon that will give it an added boost as well.

My MicroA1 has an IBM 750 GX CPU running at 800 MHz and 256 MB of RAM. I am currently running AmigaOS4.0 Pre-release update #4.
Some of my applications are very old, so I use E-UAE to emulate an Amiga with 68000 CPU, OCS chipset, NTSC, 1 MB chip RAM, and upto 8 MB fast RAM. E-UAE allows me to use AmigaOS 3.1 for these applications.
I am currently using an AmigaOS4/PPC binary with SDL graphics, called E-UAE_0.8.29-WIP2_SDL.
IMHO, it is the fastest version of E-UAE for AmigaOS4.
I don't know about the games you mentioned, but I would say that MegaBall4 (Non-AGA version) runs very close to the speed it ran on my Amiga 2000HD. Realistic game play and music.

Funny that an "Amiga" couldn't emulate the classics accurately.

That's the problem! An "AmigaOne" is no more Amiga than a PC... Just a shame that the "powers that be" chose the wrong approach, but that's been done to death in plenty of other threads!
