Title: dragon / mediator news
Post by: bootneck on May 09, 2006, 06:27:03 PM
i have had an email from elbox stating:

Dragon 1200 with 266MHz ColdFire MCF5475 processor will be availabe in
sales in June 2006. All registered Mediator users will receive an upgrade
offer from Mediator to Dragon.

at last it seems some light at the end of the tunnel

can amigakit confirm availability of these units in a few weeks time? they didnt say how much?

Um, I wonder how is this different from any of the previous "will be available" promises?

If history is any guide, I think that the best thing that anyone can do is just sit and wait, as these announcements are really not that valid, most of the time. :-)

Hehe, yeah... I truly wish that Dragon does get released sometime soon (or at least sometime).

A dragon is a legendary creature, typically depicted as a large and powerful serpent or other reptile, with magical or spiritual qualities. Mythological creatures possessing some or most of the characteristics typically associated with dragons are common throughout the world's cultures. Western representations typically have wings, whereas Eastern ones typically do not.

Above is how Wikipedia defines the word "Dragon" It should give you some insight to the Elbox version. Note the words Legendary and Mythological if you need a clue ;)

I really do wish that the negativism and borderline-libel were knocked off.

Just this morning i woke up wondering whatever became of this ColdFire card for the Amiga.  I hope it comes out.  I had many questions and suggestions for Elbox but their response wasn't what i had hoped for.  I shall be charitable and assume it was a language barrier.
