Are Blizzard A1200 expansion boards PCMCIA-friendly? I am thinking particularly of the A1260/50.
If not, which boards are?
Thanks!
Steve.

Yes, they are PCMCIA-friendly. If you want to get an accellerator for your A1200, i'd absolutely recommend to get a Blizzard, they're simply excellent.

Good, because I am hoping to get a Blizzard 1260/50 and a Squirrel SCSI.
Thanks!
Steve.

Why not get the Blizzard SCSI addon? I think that's much faster and better than a crappy 16 bit/no-DMA PCMCIA solution.

I've been after a blizzard scsi kit for ages, people seem to be selling them for ablut £70 because there is such a high demand for them.
The only think I dont like about my blizzard is that it seems to have slow ram access times. Before I had my blizzard 030/50 I had an apollo 030/33 that was PCMCIA unfriendly, but even after clocking the blizzard up to 60mhz it still doesn't feel as fast as the apollo.

My Squirrel SCSI works fine with a Blizzard 1260, so you should have no probs. Like everyonoe else though i'd prefer a SCSI addon - just for the extra 128MB of RAM alone.

ÝOu could try overclocking it to 66 MHz. Perhaps you get one wait state less then , when accessing the amiga chips.
After overclocking my Blizzard1240-25 to 33 MHz chip ram access speed increased.

So far my Blizzard 1230 Rv3 and BlizzardPPC040 seem to have been PCMCIA friendly but I must admit I've not plugged too many things into the PCMCIA slot yet.

All the Blizzard cards are PCMCIA friendly except the Blizzard 1220/4. A external Zappo PCMCIA HD drive does not work with Blizzard 1230 IV and Blizzard 1260. I use them both with SCSI-kits. The B1260 with 2x 64MB EDO RAM and B1230 IV with 48 MB of RAM. The following PCMCIA expansions I tested are Squirrel SCSI Controller, Target and Dynalink 10Mbit Network cards. If you are going to buy a secondhand SCSI-kit, you have to check the SCSI ROM version. Avoid rom version below 8.1, because it locks your computer up when using a CD-ROM drive or other removable drives. There is a program (softSCSI) to patch your older SCSI version to 8.1 or higher, but I sometimes have lockups.

I have a BlizzPPC 040 and I can't say I had any conficts with the PCMCIA port to which I have an IDE CD ROM interface attached. Not had any problems so far..
@Odin,
Your right about the SCSI - finding the cabling is a nightmare though!
-
@Karlos:
Ah okay, I've never touched SCSI in my life but I have heard some stories on the stupid (non?) standards of SCSI cabling.

I got a Blizzard card working quite good with the PCMCIA ;)
Allthough I recently found out that when having a Mediator with jumper set to 8mb the PCMCIA can cause graphic distortion when being filled.
Oh, and btw, this is my very, very first message posted here, so.... hi too :D
