Title: Sierra musics: Leisure Suit Larry 3
Post by: kd7ota on May 06, 2006, 08:29:42 PM
Hope I posted in the right forum.

I had this game, and the version that I have has better sounding music tracks instead of just the tones.  I dont know if it is an enhanced version, but I can't seem to find the game anywhere that has the better soundtracks on it.

And, is there a player for windows that will play the AGI or SGI musics from Sierra games?

Thanks  :-D

What I DO know, is that LSL 3 uses the first SCI-engine, which uses EGA-16-color-graphics, sampled sound effects, and the midi-synthesizer on a PC. The Amiga version is almost the same, but only the FM-midi-synthesis is replaced by somewhat poor wavetable-like music. (which is a bit better than adlib/soundblaster-midi though ;-) )

I know Space Quest 1 SCI plays better music/sound effects when it has at least 512KB chip mem FREE, maybe this is the same situation? But that would be weird since Space Quest 1 remake uses the second SCI version (VGA 256-colors on the PC, full mouse control)
