Title: Reset-proof program found in memory?
Post by: GreggBz on May 06, 2006, 08:11:43 PM
I recently made an ADF of Starflight into a disk to replace my
corrupt original.

The ADF version hangs on boot 1/2 of the time with Yellow error "WARNING!!! Reset-proof program found in memory, This could be a virus! Clear-Memory Continue"

I've never seen that one before. I'm running kickstart 1.3 on a A500 with expanded memory and a ICD hard drive.

The ADF has never done this on an emulator. I'm a little concerned that the disk might have a virus?

The other 1/2 of the time it boots and runs fine.

in kick 1.3 there where a lot of viruses so maybe it is.
here (http://www.vht-dk.dk/vhtdk/amiga/download.htm) you can find some antivirus programs and the latest updates for them. you can run them from floppy too.

Remember to switch off for 20 seconds to wipe out anything in RAM!
