If you had a choice among the following accelerators which would you choose? (for the A500)
Viper 520-33-cd
Derringer 030
Mtec-020
Supra 28
AdIDE
I've been trying to gather info on these units..which ones will support 2mb chipram..which ones will support OS3.0/3.1..which ones are friendliest to the A590 harddrive unit..etc. I defer to the vast knowledge of my fellow peers :)

Viper 520 because of the extra features, like IDE, Kickstart 3.0 etc...
Term of raw speed; Derringer..
Not having to open the A500; the Supra 28.
Ultimate one not listed here in my choice would be the GVP A530, 40Mhz 030/882 + SCSI and not having to open the A500....

If I were to use an external hard drive unit with my A500, then I would surely go for the Derringer.
If I wanted everything set up internally just for the sake of saving desk space, then Viper 520 (or better yet the rare 530).
Ideally, for the cleanest fix of all, an all-in-one SCSI controller and accelerator solution, the GVP A530.
I'd stay away from the other choices. :-)
Oh yeah, and I'd probably go for an A500+ unit as it already supports 2MB of chip ram expansion, without the need of extra hacks added on for this function.

I had a Mtec-020i. It doesn't work with DMA hard drive controllers such as the A590/A2091 without a patch.
Supra 28 is just a fast 68000 and really won't give you the speed boost that an 020 or 030 would be.
AdIDE isn't an accellerator. The ICD AdSpeed is and is just a faster 68000 like the Supra.
