Title: A1200 IDE CD-ROM problems
Post by: alx on April 28, 2003, 06:25:18 PM
I've got an A1200 with a CD-ROM externally, connected via a PCB with 4 IDE connectors on it.  The A1200 has IDEfix97 on it.  Unfortunately, the only discs that it will recognise are DPaintV (the only "Amiga" disc I've got, despite the fact I thought all CD-ROMs were standard) and CD-Audio discs.  Any ideas?

Run Workbench:Prefs/CDFSprefs then adjust the settings in the gui.

I've now got it to read CD-Rs that are burned with none of the extra options (ie joliet).

What settings?  None of them seem obvious :-?

Get the latest version of IDEfix97 from Aminet. Previous versions could not read Joilet.

But they should at least show up as DOS disks with 8.3 names. Perhaps your drive is dirty ?
