Title: "Older" A1200 Games and OS3.9
Post by: StevenJGore on April 28, 2003, 03:40:27 PM
How compatible is OS3.9 with older A1200 Amiga games that were hard disk installable? I'm thinking of trying OS3.9 and was wondering if games such as Alien Breed 3D II, Breathless, TFX, Bloodnet, Slamtilt, and Worms Director's Cut etc. will still load from Workbench. Thanks!

Hmm that all depends on the games and how theyre programmed im sure most of the games will work but you can be sure a few of them will not! you can try and run snoopdos in the background and see what it fails on.

At the moment I know 1 game doesn't run is Fifa 96 from HD. There is a fix at www.whdload.de. You have to install the game with the whdload installer.

;-) I can assure you that Worms, DC will run under OS 3.9.  At least, it runs here....

AB3DII, Breathless, SlamTilt all work great here under 3.9.  I *think* Bloodnet AGA does, but I can't remember if I've tried it under 3.9.
