So like, I haven't been able to use the online chat thing for some time now. Is it just me?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It gives me: "500 Internal Server Error"

Hmm, I should E-mail that guy too...

Confrimed it's down. Not that I used it anyway, but I did take a peek when it was first installed, it's a CGI to IRC gateway, which is pretty funky in it's self....
Anyways.... All you need is a real IRC client anyway, look under 'Information' on 'Join Us for live chats on the left margin of Amiga.org.

Sadness.
If you are totally desperate for your #amiga.org fix then you'll need to install and configure an irc client. It's fairly easy. There's a bit of help here (http://amiga.org/livechat.php). If you want to give it a go but run into some trouble then message me (here or PM) and I'll try to help.
I'm thinking of putting together some more detailed instructions for various platforms/clients. If anyone wants to lend a hand then please lettuce know.

/me can`t get on as hes not allowed to install an IRC client at work :-( boo hoo

I can't get on either.
Unfortunatly IRC is pretty f****d up where I live.
That proxy server I have to use pretty mcuh blocks everything. so the webbased client is more or less the only solution for me..
:-x :-x :-x :-x

Well, I have mIRC. but I cannot figure out how to get on the right server, without the hosting mountain server, its pretty useless. OFC Mozilla eats RAM when I run the constantly refreshing IRC client, so a change would be welcome.

Dudes,
I've found a java-based interface to webnet:
http://chat.webmaster.com/chat.htm (http://chat.webmaster.com/chat.htm)
When it loads (takes a while) enter your nickname and the channel (#amiga.org) into the boxes on the left and click connect. That seems to work fine :-)

FYI - It would seem the web-based interface to the chat room is working again.
