Title: Use MiamiDX with the PC's built in ethernet card.
Post by: Stom on April 27, 2003, 05:01:46 PM
Hiya folks, does anyone know if it is possible to use the Ethernet card that is on my PC in WinUAE?

I am guessing it would need a driver or something so that emulated amiga can see the PC's ethernet card?

(The reason I want to do this is due to the slightly buggy bsdsocket emulation, so I want to try the 'real' thing out)

Any ideas? :-)

AFAIK, only through the bsdsocket emulation.

Most likely it would need a wapper of some sort. A driver is unlikely because the NIC has to remain under the control of the Windows OS.

I know you can use the Amiga stacks with the serial connection, but I don't think this is possible with Ethernet at the moment.

Cheers for the answer Bill,

Its as I assumed it would be then :-/

ah well, I`ll have to put up the slightly dodgy emulated bsd socket :-/

Thanks anyway
