Usually you use the english words as in "das Motherboard" or "das Mainboard". Sometimes you say "die Hauptplatine", but this is very seldom (sounds strange to me).

BTW, you should use http://dict.leo.org/ as a dictionary. It's world's best ! (Doesn't translate whole texts, though).

Well son - when a motherboard and a fatherboard love each other very much they sometimes like to show it by having a babyboard. xD

Motherboard means "Hauptplatine" in German language.
