Does anyone know if the Amiga version of Metal Gear exists?

Besides a screenshot in a magazine ad I don't think there is any proof that it was ever developed.

I don't know any version of Metal Gear for the Amiga, but you can play to the MSX versions of MG via, imho, the best MSX emulator for Amiga, AmiMSX : http://kung-foo.dhs.org/zener/AmiEmulatorsWeb/index.htm
There are 2 versions of the game :
- Metal Gear (Konami 1987)
- Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake (Konami 1990)
They are real gems, especially the last one.
When you play to Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake, don't forget to choose SCC in the emulator sound option, this will replace the the 3 channels MSX PSG soundchip by the Konami SCC soundchip that was in the original cartridge (in fact the original game on MSX 2 plays 3 PSG + 5 SCC channels, unfortunately the AmiMSX emulates only 4 SCC channels, but it is far better than the PSG sounchip, even with 4 SCC channels only).
