Title: Looking for a CRT Monitor
Post by: QuarX on April 22, 2006, 06:48:55 PM
Hey.

I´m looking for a new monitor for my A4000, And i put my eyes on a PHILIPS Mod. 107S6. The spec say it can handle 31Khz Horiz sync and 50Hz Vertical.

Anybody own this monitor? PAL modes are well displayed?
:-?
Any help are very appreciated

THx

I own a 107B4 and 107P. They can both display the VGA compatible modes of the Amiga without a scandoubler. eg DblPAL. But they obviously don't display the 15Khz PAL modes. Philips monitors seem to be the only modern ones I've found that can display Amiga without modifying the video signal. Good picture as well.
Hope this helps.

I know what you mean. I've tried any new Compaq/HP monitors as well as several TFTs and these can't sync to scandoubled PAL output. The good news is the Philips monitors that I have do so I guess the one you are after can as well. I've used scandoubled output from Internal Scanmagic (DCE I think) and Micronik Scandex with no problem so I think a CV643d scandoubler should be the same.
