Hi,
does anybody now a good trick that work in all case with all game than can run on Amiga 1000, in 60 Hz mode with a 50 Hz PAL Amiga ?
with A1200/CD/4000 it's easy with the Early kick.
On A500/A2000, it's possible with a modification.
But on the original Amiga ? :-? :-o

Can't be done as the old Agnus is specific to either NTSC or PAL.

I'd like to know too.
I used to use "Degrader" to run PAL games on my NTSC A500 (using 1.3 ROM), but when I tried it on my A1000, it didn't work (using 1.3 kickstart disk). I think the A1000 might not be able to switch modes like later Amigas.

Can a later Agnus be installed in an A1000?

Hmmm, thats odd............as far as I know.the A1000 was the most compatible Amiga of all. From my experience PAL games just ran in NTSC mode with the bottom of the screen slightly cut off. I never had a problem with any games thaty I remember, except if they required more than 512k of RAM wich I didnt have.
I ran Kickstart 1.3................1.2 for Alien Syndrome specifically......didnt work with 1.3 for some reason.

Nope. Different chip socket type IIRC.

@leirbag:
A PAL screen with the bottom slightly cut off is called - NTSC... :roll:
To change an A1000 from NTSC to PAL or vice versa the Agnus has to be replaced with its counterpart.
