I soon will want to put my amiga 2.5 inch hard drive into my pc so i can install 0s3.5.
1, What adaptor do i need to get the drive to work in my pc with a normal ide interface. I saw one on amigakit.com that was for amigas, will it work for pc's?
2, Once the drive is in and working, will winuae be able to read the disk as if it is a normal amiga drive, enabling me to install the os?
3, Can u install the os over the top of an existing 3.0 installation without reformating?

1. I think the one on Amigakit will do, but you might find one cheeper.
2. should do. use HDtools to format and partition
3. I have installed 3.5 and 3.9 over 3.0 and 3.1 on different occasions on a real amiga, should work fine on an emulator.

The 3.5" IDE To 2.5" IDE Convertor Cable (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=455) will work on PC's as well as Amigas

I use a simple USB -> 2,5" converter on my PC.
Just plug the drive in and WinUAE lists the device in the harddrive settings.
