just a quick poll - would it be better to sell my 128MB SIMMs with this PPC card (it can take both 128MB sticks I've got), sell 1 stick with my Blizzard 1260 I'll be advertising this weekend, or advertise the sticks totally seperately?
any comments welcome.

Sell the sticks with the boards, 2 with the BPPC or 1 with each. Most likely the memory modules doesn't fit very well on the B1260, and seeing a picture of a card with rubber bands on can kill some of the hype, because it indicates lazyness (by not finding a module that fits correctly, poorly executed attempt to hold the module in place, etc) If so, I would sell both with the BPPC.
You will get nothing for them if you sell them seperately, as they are easy to find on ebay.
That's my 2 cents.

since I hope to win this auction...
I do have one question... if you include one 128mb stick can I insert one of the 32mb sticks that I already have for a total of 160mb? mine is 60ns memory, how sensitive to different memory timings are these boards?
regardless of what you do with the memory, I'm in it to win it :-D

hi acotrill,
I've just tried the PPC and the 1260 cards with the 128MB SIMMs and they both work fine (with both a 16MB and a 32M SIMM installed as well) - so 160MB was not a problem :)
the only problem you may encounter is the floppy mounting bracket inside a normal desktop A1200 - I had difficulty installing the PPC with the 128MB SIMM installed in one of my A1200s but not in the other one, so I opened the cases to find out why.
One on machine I'd made (using a metal file) a small (1-2mm) notch in the floppy mounting bracket (the triangular bit.. I've taken some photos) so that the card and memory would fit. The other machine did not have the notch so it didn't quite fit properly with the 128MB SIMM install (in the 45 degree slot.. the 128MB SIMM does not fit in the horizontal slot at all).
I'll stick photos of it on the ebay auction for all to see. But basically both 128MB SIMMs fit and work in both the Blizzard 1260 accelerator and the PPC accelerator cards for the A1200.
So the ebay auction will now be updated as I'm selling the PPC with 1x 128MB and 1x 16MB (total 144MB) of 60ns memory.
EDIT: damn, I cannot edit the auction this close to finish. I've put up the pictures of the 128MB SIMM and where the floppy drive bracket needs to have a small amount filed off it etc. here:

I'll notify the winner of the auction that there is a 128MB SIMM for extra if they want it.
Also something I only found out today - I *CANNOT* accept PayPal payments made on a credit card, I can only accepy PayPal payments where the user deposits money into their PayPal account, then transfers it to me. PayPal Australia only lets registered businesses accept credit card payments.

Hi Al,
no they have, I've just been away (it's a long weekend/holiday here in Australia). I'm headed to the post office in a few minutes to double check the courier charges.
regards,
