I have a PC floppy drive in my A1. It doesn't show up in OS4 and I don't see it during boot-up.
How can I see if my floppy controller is working or that I connected it correctly to the floppy drive?
How can I see this floppy drive under OS4?
Thanks.
Michael

OS4 does not support the floppy drive on the Amiga One yet but you can use it under linux and uboot supports the floppy drive.

what? update 4 was suppose to contain pretty much everything that was going to be in the final release. so they wanted to release it without floppy support? I mean it's a basic thing, or not?
-
I think the "pretty much the final release" was a bit of an exaggeration. Update 4 doesn't have floppy support, but it is available to betatesters.

What about the Catweasel PCI card, is there drivers available for os4?
-
There's a tool available that generates disk images of whatever's in the drive, but no actual device driver yet.

why do you need floppy in an a1? thought there was a point in having a cd rom .. :lol: or even better memory stick .. welcome to 2006 we dont need floppys no more. perhapps on the classic but not the a1.. i dont see the point in making a floppy driver for os4 for the a1 at all

Maybe because a got a tons of original disk that he planned to use again in its brand new TURBO FAST Amiga... :roll:

@CLS2086
That "TURBO FAST Amiga" can't read the amiga floppies even if it had the drivers.
Only catweasel can do that.
