Hi all,
I own an Amiga 4000 with Cybervision64, but I have a problem. The internal flickerfixer/scandoubler has a little flatcable to the Cybervision, it came loose :(
Cybergraphics:

Here you see the flickerfixer...

I painted an arrow where the flatcable should be connected

Only 1 wire was still hanging there...

And should be there...

The cable has come loose

Can *anybody* please tell me which cable should be soldered where so I can go on with repairing the Amiga (as the software is somewhere corrupted too...) on a decent Multiscan monitor in stead of the standard Amiga monitor (with no use of my Cybervision at all).
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
Sorry that I can't help you with that problem but where did you get that scandoubler for Cybervision 64? I couldn't find any info about it anywhere. Do you know who made those things?
-
It came with this A4000 I bought a few years ago, back then the cables were ok, but swapped memory a few times, so the cables became loose...

It's a normal DCE ScanMagic/FlickerMagic SD/FF for the A1200/A4000. They took the VGA cable and soldered it directly to the Cybervision's input connector.

That's a DCE ScanMagic/FlickerMagic internal scan doubler. What the previous owner did was take off the VGA connector and solder the wires straight into the pass-through on the CV64.
I can take mine out this weekend and have a look if nobody else gets to it first.

there was no other cable with it, I also tried a standard RGB > VGA cable, but then it bypasses the scandoubler/flickerfixer and my monitor doesn't like that resolution ;)

I hope you still can so I can fix this and reinstall OS 3.9, because software has become unstable too.
Thanks in advance!

Could you please have a look for me? My Amiga is now collecting dust :(

I think your best bet is to write to DCE and ask them very politely for a pinout of the scandoubler. You never know, they might just reply.
Best of luck

Cable is probably the same as the bvision. I was going to have a go at making one for my bvision. Somebody posted this after my request..
Bvision cable (http://dk.aminet.net/hard/hack/BVision-2-SVGA.jpg)

They should be the same; my Eyetech SD/FF uses IDC10 and then some adapters from IDC10 to 15pin SVGA, my CVPPC uses them, too, as I shortened the original lead, also my CV64/3D uses IDC10 to SD/FF with the same adapters.

I don't understand the cable scheme, should I solder the cables as in the scheme? And which pin is 1 on the bottom of my graphics card?
-
the scheme is not good, there never was 1 cable connected to more than 1 pin...
I'm still hoping for someone to look at his own cable or someone to come with a correct scheme...
-
unfortunatly it didn't work out :-(
anybody any suggestions? I'm still stuck with my broken A4000...
