Hi guys
thinking about to insert a parallel port sampler on my PC for use it with winuae for realtime audio effects...
I have 2 amiga sampler:a perfect sound 3 and a dss8+
and I want to insert one of them into my PC mobo
so my question is this:
any1 here have tryed that strange experiment?
is there a potential damage to my mobo ?
thanks

just in case, set the parallel port settings at pc bios at the most basic parallel support. i don't know if it will work though. why don't you use the pc audio with uae/ahi combination?

I don't think access to the parallel port is emulated through WinUAE - but even if: where's the sense in that?
There are tons of PCI soundcards around that will be the same but better (higher resolution and better sampling frequency), so why do you want to use an ancient parallel port sampler?

thanks zanc67 & amije for the reply
OK...I see that nowbody have tested that
well I know I can use pc audio instead for digitalize audio, but for REALTIME AUDIO EFFECTS the amiga have good programs like StereoMaster and there aren't clones for windows
SO any knows a windows proggy that make realtime audio-effects?
I know only one: Soundprobe and it's very buggy on realtime effects
bye

The best Realtime Audio effects program I know is Logic Pro...

if you finaly try it set bios paraller config to normal.
maybe it will need to play a bit with the dma settings too if it will not work at first
