Title: 3.1 ROMS, 2000 style!
Post by: jeffimix on April 24, 2003, 03:38:51 AM
Okay, so I have a rev. 4.4 commodore B2000. I'd really like to put OS3.1 on it. For this to happen I need 3.1 ROMS. What kind will work? I know you can put 3.1 on a 2000, but I don't know where to get the rom chips. Eyetech said theres only work with A1200s. Is this true (I suspect it is, because, well, yeah)?  Also, where can I buy the rom chips I'd need, and how do I install them? The best stuff I find is never in english :( .

;-) Try an Internet search engine to find different suppliers.  I seem to recall that the A2000's and A500's Kickstart ROMs are interchangable with each other, if that helps.

GGS-Data in sweden have 3.1Roms for almost all Amiga's including the A500/A600/A2000 wich uses the same rom chip. The site is in Swedish though (www.ggsdata.se), use the email address you find under the "kontakta oss" page to contakt them.
