i think it would be rather cool to hook up an amiga keyboard to a pc. the difference is quite obviously the connection to the motherboard though. i find it hard to believe that you could hook up an A Keyboard using USB lol. but could you somehow connect it to PS2 (i was going to say serial but i do not have a serial port on my FIS2R mobo). anyway to connect an A keyboard to PC then? or is this not do-able?

Best way is to use the new Keyrah Amiga (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=466)

If you have an Infinitiv 1200 Keyboard you can use it without any adapter on the ps/2 connector of a pc. You would just need a new keymap for windows.
-
so, Amigakit - thats a way of connected the amiga keyboard's end into that hardware and then that hardware connecting to a USB port?

@ Amigakit,
I've already ordered an Amiga Keyrah from your company and I made a note asking about the 8 bit Keyrah for an old Vic-20 of mine. I haven't received a reply to that questions, so I'll grab this opportunity to ask again: Do you stock the 8 bit Keyrahs or are you expecting any in?
Cheers,

Apologies, yes the Keyrah Commodore version will be with us this week also with the second batch of Keyrah Amiga.

Thanks for that info. I'll order the 8 bit one when they come in. Please email me at my AOL account when they do.
Cheers,
Darrin

so darrin. as a man from experience. is it merely simple to attach an AKeyB to PC
plug A Keyboard into Keyrah and then keyrah into PC?
-
Yes that is correct.

@Darrin
Keyrah 8-bit version (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=474) is now in stock
@all

The Keyrah is all very lovely an'all, but is there an equivalent for A4000 keyboards ?
I'd like to use me A4k kbd on the AmigaOne - either PS/2 or USB

OT I know, but Darrin, why is your avatar a picture of a tank with United Kingdom and United States flags below it?

It's because I served in the British Army (and with a type 57 Chieftain/Challenger Tank Regiment) and now I live in the USA. That's a Challenger 2 in the picture which was introduced after I left.
I used to hold "Amiga club" meetings in the Mess on weekends when I was free. Back in the 80's it seemed like 25% of the British Army either owned an Amiga or wanted one. Cannon Fodder was a surprising favourite! ;)
:D

No experience yet - it hasn't arrived. ;)

Oh I see, fair enough then :-)

I still love Cannon Fodder. Is it true that the army used it as a training tool? :lol:

LOL. Yep - kill everything :D
I also remember many drunken nights in the barracks playing Kick Off 2 with mates using the "league" option. Now that and Speedball 2 broke a few joysticks.

Thanks for the order, Darrin!
