The announcement is not news anymore, but now at least we know that Helgis likes it! :-D
...And people from all "camps", people of all persuations, agendas and personal beefs gathered in the forums. All came together to cry in unison:
"Give Helgis an AmigaOne! "
Keep it up man.

By the looks of it, Hyperion have been storing up news for the past year or so :-)

Didn't we already post this as a news item?

Yep - here (http://amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44243). But Hyperion updating their website is certainly news :-D

ROFL :-D :-D

To Hyperion's credit, they're busting their asses more than Amiga Inc, it seems. Notice that most of the recent 'news' seems to be from their camp...Look at the 2D driver database they have now...finding game developers to work with...this is all stuff AI should be doing. Granted this news is a bit old...All good, though. At least we know Hyperion wasn't taken out in some terror attack, aimed at the Amiga comunity..LOL :-D

This is one game i'll be buying on the day of release for sure. Fed up of first person games so a 3D driving sim makes a real change.
@ Rouge (If your reading)
Will these ports be done before NOVA or after ?
Or will they be OS4 Warp3D titles with NOVA support coming later ?
-
I definitely like it when you say "Give Helgis an AmigaOne"! Glad to see you loved my post! Keep the comments coming! :-) :-D

Midnight Racing, or Midnight RACER .. ? at least the latter was a totally unplayable (if in a way pretty to look at) pc-driving game.
I should know, having ALMOST completed GT3 :-)

These will very likely come before NOVA. I don't have any firm time plan for these ports yet, but NOVA is definitely still a bit away.

There is a demo available... which I haven't downloaded yet but plan to do so soon (not sure if it'll work on this PC though), see if it will be worth buying the Amiga version. It sure does look nice, though.
On a sidenote, if Hyperion have found the time to update their website, does this mean they have stopped working on OS4? (meaning: release imminent )
Chris (that's a tear of happiness btw)

I remembered the name wrong. Same game.. from Brightstar.
Brightstar Games (http://www.brightstargames.com/games/midnight.htm)
Hopefully controlling the car will be totally overhauled and some racingmodes will be added. As it was just pretty boring driving with badly behaving car in pretty scenes

We'll see. I can't get the demo working on this PC (no matter what anyone says, Windows is not a very good environment for running games, and the compatibility between versions is terrible), so will have to wait for an Amiga demo/review before I can even get a glimpse of it.

hooligan: yeah thats what i was afraid of also, as almost evry nice drive em up has either bad handling or horrible lifespan theese days....atleast for pc games...
the best drive em up i know of must be Burnout 2 on ps2...
but hey i know for sure i will atleast buy midnight racing and play it more than i would if another fps came...for amiga that is..

Any Amiga company what updates its website should come under "Shock Horror" not news.
