You know what??
I used to call myself a specialist, when related to Amiga, and the AmigaOS. (etc. etc.)
A few days ago I finally managed to get Amithlon. I set up the OS, and everything`s fine, except for the sound.
I have a SB128 (CT5880, and also an ES1371). The sound is somehow choppy, dunno why. I tried to set up for Terratec 512 (FM801), as i knew this card is also supported, but couldn`t even get this one to show it`s audiomodes in AHI prefs (?!?).
I tried with a few versions of m68k-AmigaOS AHI (5.x and 6), with no positive results.
My question is:
How do I install the native Amithlon AHI?? When i copy the files from the distrib, they don`t work. They are ELF format files. I don`t know how to get them to work. I hope that if I managed to run the native x86 AHI, I`d got rid of these problems I have.
Thanks for your suggestions :)

no, isn't a problem of ahi, but video card.
If videocard is in vesa mode and so without full 2d acceleration in hardware, also audio output is not clear
mainly when you scroll windows bar..
I don't know if this is the same effect of "choppy" (i don't know i translate in italian :p), but with a videocard with full support of 2d acceleration in hardware, sound output is perfect!

well, don`t think so
Because I also have Matrox G400 which is accelerated. And what is more: i tried the same OS setup on two machines with the same effect. Anyway thanks!!

You managed to get Amithlon? I thought it was now impossible to get, I'd love to get a copy myself, but have no idea where to get it from :(
