Hello.
If you know any small dial-up tips that offer even a tiny boost in the performance of the connection, please post it here.
From hardware advices to tcp/ip settings and InitStrings.
Thank you in advance.

When I used to go online with my USRobotics 56k Voice Faxmodem
I used, after several experimentations, this InitString:
AT&F2L0&H1&I0&R2&C1&D0W2S2=0/r
For me That's rocksolid!!

Thanks zefiro.
I'm making this bump in case someone missed this thread.

That init string is my personal experimentation and works well
on my modem. So let me know if that works well also for you or
someone else. Cheers

@zefiro
Hmm, just tried it and my modem doesn't accept it. But i know why this happens, it's because my modem is based on a different chipset from the one that USR's are based. So the AT commands are incompatible.
Most non-USR modems are based on the Rockwell and Lucent chips which are not compatibles.

Try removing S2=0 because I think it's a specific chipset command
-
Nope. That didn't do it.
