Hello all:
Well my unfamiliarity with my A3000 is showing again :-)
I am planning to add Fast RAM to my A3000 and have no service manual or the like, I have never disassembled the unit and need to get to the sockets which are convieniently located under the floppy drive, hard drive, power supply shelf. I was hoping someone could either tell me or send a PDF of the manual to me or go step by step to dis-assembly of the machine to get to the motherboard. Please tell me of any "gotchas" if you decide to "talk me through it".
Thanks,
Mike

Zip memories are what an A3000 motherboard takes.
If you have another card such as a WarpEngine you might be able to add SIMM memory to that instead. You might likely need Fast Page memory for the WarpEngine because EDO memory doesn't always fulfill all of the original SIMM standards that the older cards require.

Thank-you for the response. Yes I am obtaining the ZIP modules for the upgrade... they are being ordered. The Problem is not the upgrade itself, but rather how to get the shelf out of the way to install them. I have no clue on the proper removal, hence the walk through idea or if someone would like to send me the Service Manual in PDF ;-)
Thanks,
Mike

Out of interest, where have you ordered them from?

a place called Magnetic Systems.
