I've an accelerated a500 (derringer 030) and a first edition '91 scsi controller attached to the side slot (zorro 86 pin).
I put my machine into a tower and build scsi cables to extend the short original to my device (the original quantum disk drive). My question is: how many devices can I attach to this controller?
Is this a SCSI compliant controller? Or it drives only one device?
If not which are the best controllers around to get at least 2 devices on?

;-) I'm not sure of the particulars of that controller, but in general there can be eight devices on a SCSI bus. Mind you, the controller itself counts as one of them, so you're left with seven drives, scanners, etcetera to add on.
Each device needs a unique number between zero and seven. (Seven is usually the controller itself, but not always.)
Also, the appliances must be connected in series, with no "Y" branches allowed.

ok these are the standard for a SCSI I interface but amiga zorro I controller are standard?

;-) It should be. Just remember to terminate the bus at each end, and no where else. Of course, some controllers have termination built in so that you needn't worry.
